KARACHI: 26 vehicles, 34 mobile phones taken away

KARACHI, Aug 25: Bandits took away at least 26 vehicles and 34 mobile phones in various city areas on Friday. Police said 10 cars were stolen while one was snatched at gunpoint by bandits.

Similarly, five motorcycles were taken away at gunpoint and 10 were stolen.

Police said 15 cell phones were snatched at gunpoint and 15 were stolen while four sets were reported missing on Friday.

ACCIDENT: A young motorcyclist died in a road accident in Site area on Friday. Police said that Fazal Akbar, 40, an insurance agent was heading to work when a speeding car knocked him down near Babar Kanta Site area.

The victim was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
