KARACHI, Aug 25: Two container ships were accommodated berths at QICT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, two more ships to load rice and offload containers also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy fell to 50 per cent as six ships, CMA CGM Sambhar, London Senator, Mariyah, Ryu Gyong, Multan and Ikan Selar, were busy in loading and offloading containers, cement and sugar.

A cargo volume of 35,472 tons comprising 18,534 tons of import and 16,938 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as CV CMA CGM Sambhar and Mariyah left the port while Multan and London Senator were due to depart.
