KARACHI, Aug 25: Three ships carrying containers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships were berthed. They are: Atlantic Trader, Harima-2, with general cargo, Johar, with crude oil, Pacific Pioneer, Conti-Esperance, Kota Merdesa and Eric G. Gibson, to unload and load containers.

Five vessels, Hyundai Stride, Y.M. Moon, Al-Mariyah, Serife and Sea Breeze departed on Friday, while Stove Tradition, Engin Kaptanoglue, Conti Esperance, Kota Merdesa, Eric G.Gibson, Johar and Noor-e- Mustafa are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where a total tonnage of 0.133m tons comprising 7,337 tons of export cargo including 2,058 tons of cement and 0.126m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Wan Hai-306, Yang Jiang He and Corn Thaikos, with containers.
