ISLAMABAD, Aug 24: Pakistan on Thursday termed as ‘incorrect and misleading’ the assertion by Indian junior minister for external affairs that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.
When contacted, a senior foreign ministry official said the Indian minister needed to jog his memory to separate facts from fiction.
The specific points that the official flagged to reject the Indian claim were: the area is declared disputed by the UNSC resolution accepted by both Pakistan and India; the LoC in the disputed area is not an international boundary; and there is complete alienation in held Kashmir against occupation.
