Ransom rescues child

SIALKOT, Aug 24: A local exporter got freed his five-year old son after paying a ransom of Rs300,000 to kidnappers. Arshad’s son Umer Kashif was playing outside his house in Pooran Nagar-Paris Road locality when some men kidnapped him two days ago. The kidnappers had demanded Rs300,000 for his release.

LOOTED: Four dacoits led by a woman looted cash, gold ornaments and valuables worth Rs2.2 million from the house of a jeweller in Islamabad-Naikapura locality, late Wednesday night.

The dacoits entered the house and made hostage all family members at gunpoint. They fled after collecting cash and valuables. They also beat up women on resistance. — Correspondent
