KARACHI: Dumping in Baghicha continues

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Aug 24: The Gutter Baghicha and a cricket ground within its vicinity have been turned into a garbage dumping site, people of the area have complained. They held a CDGK contractor responsible for the situation, claiming that he used to dump the waste material left over after every day’s work on an under-construction road. They also claimed that the road was being rebuilt without the work-order specifications.

Community leaders of the area alleged that the work on the Bara Board-Garden section of Manghopir Road had been undertaken recently by a contractor in violation of all rules and regulations.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the standard of material being used in the construction work, they called for an inquiry into the matter.
