KARACHI, Aug 24: Three ships carrying wheat, containers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where eight ships were berthed. They are: Al-Marwah, Y.M.Moon, Hyundai Stride, Orient Independenc, to unload and load containers, Swat, Pacific Ace, to unload crude oil, Originator, to offload Dap fertiliser and Engin, Kaptanoglu.

Four ships, Kota Permai, Thor Captain, APL Dalian and ACX Jasmine departed, while Sea Freeze, Swat, and Zara-3 are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.122m tons comprising 16,007 tons of export cargo and 0.106m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Global Progress, with containers, Liberty Sun, with 16,120 tons of wheat and Myongsan, with general cargo.
