DERA MURAD JAMALI, Aug 23: At least five people were killed and 21 injured, when a bus skidded off the road and overturned at Nuttal, Balochistan, on Wednesday, police said.

The bus, which had left Quetta early in the morning, was on its way to Sadiqabad when the driver lost control while negotiating a sharp turn at Nuttal and it overturned, police said.

According to the SHO, Nuttal Suman police station, five people were killed on the bus while 21 others were injured.

Four of those killed were identified as Arbaz Bibi w/o Pir Baksh (Dera Bugti), Adnan Sadiq s/o Mohammad Sadiq (Sadiqabad), Sabir Hussain s/o Shaukat Ali Qureshi (Multan) and Irfan Ahmad s/o Mohammad Ali Rajput (Sadiqabad). The name of the fifth person could not be ascertained.

The injured were admitted to the Civil Hospital in Naseerabad.

According to police, the accident occurred due to the negligence of the driver.
