Three killed in two accidents

LAHORE, Aug 23: Three people were killed in two accidents in the city on Wednesday. Two friends - Younas, 32, and Ishfaq, 35 - were going on a motorcycle when a speeding truck coming from opposite direction hit it in Badami Bagh. They sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital where they died.

It is learnt that they belonged to Sheikhupura and worked here in a factory. In the other incident, 16-year-old Shahzad was crossing the road when a speeding car hit him in Baghbanpura, killing him on the spot.

The bodies were handed over to their families without autopsy.

DRUG-PEDDLERS: Nishter Colony police claimed to have arrested four drug-pushers and recovered liquor worth thousands of rupees and illegal weapons from their possession.

They are; Shafqat Masih, Mustafa, Faqir Husain and Shabbir.

The accused used to fill local liquor in foreign brand bottles and sell them at high prices.
