RAWALPINDI, Aug 23: Punjab Education Department has decided to lift ban on inter-district transfer of all employees and teachers. Sources said that the ban would be lifted only for two or three days. During this period transfer would be made on already submitted applications. After that ban would be imposed once again for an indefinite period.

During the first phase the transfer would be carried out according to the directives of the Chief Ministers. Afterward transfer would be made on the reference of other senior officials, Ministers and Nazims.

INSTITUTION REOPEN: Government education institutions all over Punjab will re-open on August 28, after summer vacations.

In this regard, Education Department has issued a formal notification to all the education institutions in the country.

It is pertinent to mention that various private institutions have already re-opened after summer break thus violating the rules of Education Department to formally begin on August 28.—Agencies
