KARACHI, Aug 23: Three ships to load and offload containers, carbon oil and chemicals were allotted berths at QICT, MPT and EVT during last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, another container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage Berth occupancy was maintained at 90 per cent as nine ships, Xiang Wan, Nedlloyd Muscat, Ryu Gyong, Multan, Ikan Selar, Golden Glory, Bitumen Ride, Al-Mukhtarah and Hellenic Breeze, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, sugar, chemicals, carbon oil, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 80,435 tons comprising 57,185 tons of import and 23,250 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Xiang Wan, Al-Mukhtarah and Golden Glory left the port while Bitumen Ride and Nedlloyd Muscat were due to depart.
