KARACHI, Aug 22: Indian’s Vishesh Deepak Bhatia and Ronak Mahesh Manuja pulled off major upsets when they sent second and third seeds packing in straight sets to cruise into the boys singles last eight of the ITF Pakistan World Junior Ranking tennis championship at Islamabad Club on Tuesday.
Bhatia toppled second seed Ryan Cheung (US) 6-2, 6-2 while Ronak got the better of third seed Omer Babar (Pak) 6-0, 6-2.
Pakistan’s sixth seed Tanveer Ashiq also stormed into the quarter-finals overcoming Indian Lakshit Sood 6-7 (5), 6-1, 7-6 (5) lasting two hour and 45 minutes.
