KARACHI, Aug 22: Ten ships carrying containers, DAP fertiliser and to load fish are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three vessels, Pegasus Ace, to unload imported cars, Noor-e-Mostafa, to unload and load general cargo and Diamond Progress to load cement were berthed after the departure of as many.

The vessels, which departed included Maersk Arkansas, Wester Moor and BBB Ukraine, while Lynx is due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at wharves fell to 58,257 tons owing to lesser handling of liquid tonnage comprising 8,044 tons of export cargo and 50,213 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Swat, Johar, with crude oil, Orient Independence, Hyundai Stride, Al-Mariyah, Y.M. Moon, Global Progress, with containers, Engin Kaptanoglu, with steel billets, and Harima-2 to load 150 tons of fish.
