VEHARI, Aug 20: A 20-year-old girl was hanged till death by her brother over suspicion of her loose morals at Chak 14-WB in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to the family, Manzoor suspected that his sister had developed illicit relations with a neighbour.
He chased the girl to her lover’s house about 3am on Sunday and just short of the destination he hanged her till death.
The family said Manzoor later fled and was missing. The body was handed over to them after postmortem. The Saddar police instituted a case against the absconder.
