Two killed in accidents


RAWALPINDI, Aug 18: A girl was killed while her sister was injured critically after being run over by a truck in the Airport police area on Friday.

According to police Syed Ali Shah, father of the deceased, lodged a complaint with the police saying that his daughters: Bushra Bibi and Masooma got out of a wagon and were heading towards their home when a military truck knocked them down.

As a result, Bushra Bibi was killed on the spot while Masooma was injured critically. The injured was removed to the hospital where her condition is said to be in danger. Police have registered a case and started investigations.

Meanwhile, police said a cyclist was killed after being hit by a car in the jurisdiction of Kohsar police on Thursday.

Mohammad Shahid complained that his father Mohammad Sabir’s cycle was hit by a speeding car (IDC-1281). Mr Sabir was removed to hospital where he died.—Staff Reporter
