LAHORE, Aug 17: Four-wickets each by spinners Raheel Abbas and Usman Malik steered East Zone Whites to a 48-run win over West Zone Whites in the two-day PCB Inter-district senior cricket championship Lahore region match at the LCCA ground on Wednesday.
Leg-spinner Raheel captured four for 42 while Usman, the off-spinner, snapped up four for 58 as West Zone Whites were bowled out for 186 in 48.1 overs while chasing a target of 235.
Opener Mohammad Afzaal fought well with a knock of
72, which included seven fours and one six, but no other batsman could stay at the crease for long.
Meanwhile, the match between West Zone Blues and North Zone Whites ended in no result mainly due to rain at the Model Town ground.
