Soldiers hurt in landmine blasts

QUETTA, Aug 16: Two security personnel were injured in landmine explosions in Sibi and Kahan areas on Wednesday. Officials said that a soldier on patrol was injured after a landmine exploded near a security checkpost in Sibi.

Another landmine exploded in the Haspur area of Kohlu district, injuring a solider of the Frontier Corps, they said. Sources also said that security forces seized illegal arms and ammunition, including anti-aircraft guns, 225 rockets, 2,000 mortar shells, 315 hand-grenades and several thousand rounds of ammunition.
