KARACHI: Teams formed to clear rainwater


KARACHI, Aug 16: The city government has constituted 13 groups comprising health department staff and deployed them in various localities to clear stagnant rainwater, which was posing threat of outbreak of malaria and other epidemics.

According to a city government statement issued on Wednesday, the teams will use their manpower and machinery to pump out rainwater accumulated on roads and streets. These groups are constituted for one week and more such squads would be formed to make sanitary condition in the city better.
