Rain curtails play

KARACHI, Aug 13: Only one match could be played in the Sindh Ranking tennis tournament due to showers in the city on Sunday.

Shamran brushed aside Kashif 6-2, 6-0 to book a berth in the last eight of the juniors’ under-17 singles at the DHA Sunset Club.

The tournament resumes on Monday if weather permits, the organisers said.

Earlier, the event which had remained suspended because of rain, resumed after three days the other day.
