LAHORE, Aug 11: Re-elected as president of the Lahore City Cricket Association, Aamir Hayat Khan Rokri has vowed to run the association on modern lines like that in the UK and Australia.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Rokri, who has been retaining the post for last 28 years, said he had closely observed the system in the two advanced countries and expressed possibility that the LCCA could be run on the same pattern.

While defining changes he has brought in the association, Rokri said every club associated with the LCCA would keep complete details of players and a player could change the club only once in a year with permission of the association.

Every zone would also maintain the same record.

He said a club had to pay Rs1,000 to the association if it wanted to hire a player of another club.

The president said the number of clubs in the city has increased to 130 from 74 and there was a need to form another zone, increasing the number of zones from three to four.

He added that he had requested the Pakistan Cricket Board to allow him to form another zone.

The president said it was made necessary for every zone to hold two tournaments every year.

Rokri said the PCB had to pay them Rs30 million as share of the gate money it had earned through various international matches.

"The PCB chairman Shaharyar M. Khan is ready to pay the share to the LCCA but in installments and I hope the first installment will carry Rs10 million."
