Interior secretary, DAG summoned


QUETTA, Aug 11: A division bench of the Balochistan High Court here on Friday re-issued a notice to the Federal Secretary Interior to appear on Aug 22 in a case about posting the name of a member of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), Khalid Langov, on the Exit Control List (ECL).

The court also summoned Deputy Attorney-General Chaudary Mumtaz Yusuf.

The bench, comprsing Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Justice Akhtar Zaman, is hearing the petition filed by Khalid Langov, seeking removal of his name from the ECL.

The petitioner informed the court that his name had been placed on the ECL through a notification on June 8.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till Aug 22.

PRODUCTION ORDER: A division bench of the BHC here on Friday ordered the SHO of the Shalkote Police Station to produce two minor girls, Bibi Salma and Bibi Mehwish, along with their father, Mohammad Hussain, before the court on Thursday, August 17.

The order was issued by the bench, while hearing a constitutional petition filed by a woman, Mah Bibi.—APP
