KARACHI, Aug 11: Two ships carrying containers and chemicals were berthed at QICT and EVT during the last 24 hours, according to a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with sugar and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy remained on the higher side as 10 ships, Mumbai Express, Al-Wajba, Adrekni, Precious, Constantinos-G, Stolt Avenir, Arietes, Navigator Pluto, Anette Kosan and Turn Berry Glory, were busy in loading and offloading containers, cement, sugar, edible oil, furnace oil, LPG, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 98,614 tons comprising 82,183 tons of import and 16,431 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Mumbai Express, Al-Wajba, Navigator and

Arietes left the port while Stolt Avenir, Anette Kosan and Precious were due to depart.
