4 policemen remanded in custody

NAWABSHAH, Aug 10: Former in-charge of the Lyari Task Force, suspended SP Chaudhry Aslam, and three other police officials were remanded in police custody for five days by the judicial magistrate of Sakrand on Thursday in the case of a fake encounter in which a villager was killed.

The judicial magistrate of Sakrand showed his anger for not handcuffing the accused and directed the officials to produce the accused with handcuffs.

He also warned the SP investigation, zone-II, Karachi, Niaz Khoso, that he was supporting influential people and could be issued show cause notice after which the SP apologised.—Correspondent
