Pakistan turned down bus links, says India


NEW DELHI, Aug 10: Pakistan has rejected India’s proposals for bus links between Jammu and Sialkot and Kargil and Skardu, Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed said in Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament, on Thursday. The proposals, originally given by India in June 2004, were reiterated most recently during the foreign secretary-level talks in January this year. “Pakistan has not accepted either bus link proposal,” the minister said.—Online
