‘Hepatitis on the rise’

LANDI KOTAL, Aug 10: Health officials in Landi Kotal have detected 70 people suffering from Hepatitis C during a month. Doctors said that of screening tests were conducted at the Agency Headquarters Hospital.

AHQ’s Medical Superintendent Dr Zar Alam said that nearly half of them had been provided free medicines, adding that no free medication was provided to such patients in Landi Kotal in the past because the medicines allocated by the Fata health directorate were sold in the open market.—Correspondent
