KARACHI, Aug 10: Six ships, carrying coal, steel and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Marclabaria, Hyundai Advance, to unload and load containers, and Zara-3, to offload sugar, were berthed.

Four vessels, APL Osaka, Mol Silver Fern, Jobus and Shalamar departed on Thursday, while Hyudani Advance, Marcalabria, Marnedi J.K, Ocean Friend, Rickers Doha and Maersk Alabama are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 74,924 tons comprising 12,308 tons of export cargo, including 1,248 tons of rice and 62,616 tons of import tonnage, which also included 4,183 tons of sugar, was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Kota Perkasa, Maersk Arkansas, with containers, Pearl of Sharjah, with coal, Cosmis Challenger, with general cargo and Conti Express, with steel and general cargo.
