India’s protest

NEW DELHI, Aug 8: India has protested to Pakistan over the alleged construction of new bunkers and trenches along the international border, junior home minister S. Regupathy told parliament on Tuesday.

Pakistan was reported to be engaged in the construction of bunkers, new posts and observation towers along the international border, Mr Regupathy was quoted as saying by the Press trust of India.

“It has been reported that Pakistan Rangers, Army troops are engaged in the construction of bunkers, pill boxes, new posts, observation towers along (or in) close proximity of the border,” the minister said in response to a question.—Correspondent
