COLOMBO, Aug 8: A politician’s bodyguard and a child were killed here on Tuesday when a bomb exploded in a vehicle carrying the Tamil leader. Nien others were injured. S. Sivathasan, a former member of the Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP), a pro-government Tamil party, escaped with minor injuries. The explosion happened near a girls school in a commercial district of the Sri Lankan capital.
