Kharan district nazim elected

QUETTA, Aug 6: Mir Shaukat Baloch of the PML has been elected the district nazim of Kharan.

The contest was between two groups of the PML. The Nausherwani panel backed by provincial minister Mir Shoiab Nausherwani bagged 51 votes against 28 votes secured by Al-Fatah candidate, who enjoyed the support of MNA Sardar Fateh Muhammadhasni, whereas five votes were rejected.

The election was held on Saturday.—Correspondent
