KARACHI: Two bodies found

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Aug 6: Personnel of the fire department on Sunday took out two bodies from the Malir River in Bin Qasim Town.

According to a spokesman for the fire department of the city government, upon receiving information by the area people, they fished out the bodies from the Khuldabad area.

One was identified as Inam Bux from an identity card found from his possession while the identity of the second person could not be ascertained.

A TT pistol with live rounds was recovered from the possession of the unidentified corpse, he said.

Quoting the area people, the spokesman said that two days back, some suspects were busy looting a cab in the area, when the victims raised alarm, people of the area rushed towards the cab and caught one of the suspect while his two accomplices jumped into the Malir River.

Bin Qasim TPO Asif Ajaz confirmed the incident saying that a case under arms ordinance was registered against the apprehended suspect, while his two accomplices had reportedly jumped into the Malir River.

The bodies recovered on Sunday are believed to be of those two suspects, the TPO said.
