KOTLI, Aug 6: Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan has called upon the Ummah to devise a strategy against Israeli barbarism and play their due role to end aggression against Muslims.

Talking to delegation at Ghazi House in Fatehpur Thukyala, he lamented over atrocities being inflicted on Palestinians, Chechens, Lebanese and Kashmiris and criticised the role of 57 Muslim countries in this critical circumstances.

He urged Muslims to create an Islamic union on the pattern of European Union (EU).

He pointed out that the Ummah was silent over the devastation of Iraq and Afghanistan and Iran faced threat of sanctions or attack. The Ummah has resources and unity in its ranks and could change the whole scenario, he added.

Commenting on the Kashmir freedom struggle, he said that huge sacrifices had been rendered for the cause and more were in the offing.—Online
