HYDERABAD, Aug 6: A large number of kiln workers took out a procession from the Hyder chowk to the press club on Sunday in protest against alleged blackmailing by an NGO.

The procession was held by the Sindh Bhatha Mazdoor Action Committee.

Bhatha Mazdoor leaders Qadir Bux, Khadim Ali and Punhoon Oad said that an NGO was trying to destroy the kiln industry which had provided jobs to thousands of unskilled workers.

They said that the kiln workers were being paid full wages but the NGO was trying to blackmail the kiln owners.
