KARACHI, Aug 6: The Pakistan People’s Party has strongly condemned the ‘apathy and negligence’ on the part of the provincial and city governments towards the plight of the people of Sindh affected by the current monsoon rains that have left dozens of people dead and caused widespread damage across Sindh.

“This proves that the rulers have no interest in protecting people’s life and property as they are still continuing to make only tall claims,” Sindh PPP President Syed Qaim Ali Shah said.

He was speaking at a public gathering during his visit to the rain-affected areas of Malir, including Memon Goth, Old Thano, Kathore, Siraj Goth and Kolhi Mohalla, on Sunday. He expressed his deep shock and grief over the loss of precious lives in the rains.—PPI
