Man commits suicide

ISLAMABAD, Aug 5: A man committed suicide, while 27 persons suffered multiple injuries when a bus overturned here on Saturday, police said.

Mohammad Nazar, 65, committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Phoolgran. The body had been shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) for legal process.

In another incident 27 persons, majority of them students, suffered injuries when the bus they were travelling in overturned at Chattar. According to the police, a group of 40 students of Government High School Masali, Muzaffargarh, was heading towards Taxila from Murree on a tour when the bus (SGC-6564) overturned after its tie-rod end broke.

As a result, a school teacher, 25 students and a bus conductor suffered wounds, bruises and cuts. The injured were shifted to the Federal Government Services Hospital in Islamabad from where they were allowed to go after medical treatment.—Staff Reporter
