Iran-Pakistan ties cordial: diplomat

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Aug 5: Outgoing Iranian Consul-General in Quetta Hossein Keshmiri has said that ties between his country and Pakistan were cordial.

Addressing a luncheon hosted by President of the South Asian Editors’ Forum (SAEF) Syed Faseih Iqbal here on Saturday, he said: “My country wants to see Pakistan a peaceful and prosperous country.”

He said: “I am confident that one day Pakistan’s Balochistan and Seistan-Balochistan, Iran’s province, will be among developed areas.” He condemned Israel’s aggression against Lebanon and Palestine and said that there was a dire need for unity among the Muslims.

Earlier, Syed Faseih Iqbal praised the outgoing diplomat’s services in bolstering the ties between the two countries.
