Boy injured in Quetta bomb blast

QUETTA, Aug 4: A boy was injured when a bomb went off in a residential area on Wafa Road on Friday night, police said.

The sources said that the home-made device was planted in a dustbin and it exploded around 10.45pm with a big bang. A boy passing through the area was injured.

Police and other officials reached the site and took the boy to civil hospital where he was identified as Imran. His condition was said to be out of danger.

Meanwhile, a commander of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, Balochia Khan, surrendered to the Chattar police on Friday. He handed over his weapons and assured support for the government.
