LAHORE, Aug 2: Justice Mohammad Akhtar Shabbir of the Lahore High Court on Wednesday directed the Pakpattan SHO to recover and produce on Aug 8 Sana Noor (6) who was kidnapped by her father over a family dispute.

The court issued the order in the hearing of a petition through which Asma of Model Town, Lahore submitted that the child was abducted by her husband.

The petitioner submitted that she was married to Noor Ahmad eight years ago and they were living in their home in Pakpattan before her husband separated from her and asked her to leave his house. She stated that she started living with her parents in Model Town, Lahore. She stated that her husband came to her parents’ home on July 27 and forcibly took her minor daughter.

In another case, the court directed the Mangtanwala police, Nankana Sahib, to recover and produce on Aug 8 Aqsa Shaukat (4) who was kidnapped on July 17 after her father Shaukat Ali had divorced his wife Azra Sultana.

The court order was issued in the hearing of a petition filed by Mohammad Lateef, the maternal uncle of the abducted girl, who stated that the custody of the child was the right of his sister and the abduction by the brother-in-law of Azra’s former husband Shaukat Ali was unlawful.

The petitioner said his sister Azra was married to Shaukat 10 years ago and had two children. Later, a family dispute developed and Shaukat divorced his sister. She came to his home where she started living with the child.

He submitted that Mohammad Arif, the brother-in-law of Shaukat, and two other armed men came to his home in Mangtanwala on July 17 and took away the child at gunpoint.
