SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 2: Three women, including two sisters, were slaughtered by their two relatives on suspicion of having loose morals in Millat Town near Kot Abdul Malik on Wednesday.

Reports reaching here said that accused Nazir Ahmed and Jehangir Ahmed (brothers) had warned repeatedly Zeenat Bibi (20), her sister Rasulan Bibi (35) and their niece Tasleem (14) to mend their ways, but to no avail. On Wednesday, the three women were asleep when the two accused came there and slaughtered them with sharp-edged weapons.

After committing the crime, the accused courted arrest to the Factory Area police. The police took the bodies into their custody and later shifted them to a hospital for autopsy.

KILLED: A dacoit was killed by the firing of his own accomplices while a quack sustained serious bullet injuries on resistance during a dacoity in Chattha Colony on Wednesday.

Three armed bandits entered the clinic of quack Maqsood Ahmed, held him up and started collecting valuables. The quack overpowered one of the dacoits, but the two other dacoits opened fire on him. But the bullets hit the quack and their own accomplice. The dacoit died on the spot while the quack sustained serious injuries. Later, the dacoits escaped with the booty.

Factory Area police are investigating.
