ATTOCK, Aug 1: District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Mohammad Yunis freed on personal sureties 42 prisoners who were arrested in petty cases and were sent to the district jail.

He announced during a visit to the Attock district jail.

Jail Superintendent Mohammad Salem Butt and Deputy Superintendent Mohammad Froz Kalyar were present on the occasion.

AUDIT: Social Welfare District Officer Khalid Saba constituted a committee to conduct audit of all registered NGOs in the district.

District Coordination Council chairman Syed Tehsin Hussain who heads the committee has urged the department to provide him all details of financial assistance and grants given to 126 registered NGOs during the last three years.

Meanwhile, the social welfare department constituted tehsil social welfare council for smooth pace of social work.

Capt (retired) Faqeer Khan was made president of the council, while Major (retired) Mohammad Yaseen was nominated as senior vice-president, Mohammad Nawaz Shah as vice-president. An advisory council was also constituted.
