Published August 2, 2006

KARACHI, Aug 1: A five-member sub-auction committee of city government has been formed to prepare rules and guidelines for auctions of public property. Committee members included DOs recovery, finance and planning, revenue and internal audit.

The purpose behind formation of the committee was to prepare a comprehensive auction policy.

The policy would be prepared by studying resolution of year 2001 and regulations of defunct KMC and KDA and existing SLGO. The approval would be given by city government’s law department and would be presented to members of the committee in the next meeting.—PPI
