KOHAT, July 31: Federal Minister for Culture Dr G. G. Jamal has inaugurated a sub-office of the Karachi Stock Exchange here. Addressing the ceremony on Sunday, the minister said that the need for the facility was being felt far a long time and it would open new windows of opportunity for the business community and small investors of the southern region of the NWFP.

He said that the country’s economic growth had been unprecedented and the government was committed to sustain it.

The function was attended by former Balochistan governor K. K. Afridi, former provincial minister for Jails Hidayatullah Afridi, former PML-N MNA Javed Ibraheem Paracha, former district nazim Engineer Malik Asad and Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Manzoor Ahmed Paracha.

The chairman of the Karachi HUM security, Haji Usman, said that the Kohat office of the KSE would secure the investments of the local people and bring more money into circulation.

INQUIRY: Kohat District and Sessions Judge Syed Yahya Gillani on Monday ordered the arrest of people involved in the murder of Noor Aslam alias Noori, Police claimed that he was killed in an encounter.

The judge directed police to register a case against the accused mentioned by the petitioner, Nizamud Din.

Following the court orders, the police registered a case under section 302 against Zafar and his accomplices for killing Noor Aslam, a proclaimed offender.

TWO GUNNED DOWN: Two people were killed in Chechanna and Ustarzai areas on Monday.

Gul Zameer was gunned down in Saddar area, the father of the victim, Zameer Khan reported.

The body of labourer Mastan Khan of Peshawar was found in the mountains of Ustarzai.
