Islamabad condemns aggression

ISLAMABAD, July 30: Pakistan on Sunday condemned the Israeli aggression against the Lebanese town of Qana.

“Pakistani government and people strongly condemn this sad incident, which is clearly unwarranted aggression, and calls for immediate ceasefire,” Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz told reporters.

“We also appeal to the world community to come forward and help find an immediate and peaceful settlement of the conflict, which has so far taken the lives of over 700 innocent people in Lebanon,” he said.

He also talked to Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora and conveyed condolences over the incident.—APP
