Speakers’ conference from today

QUETTA, July 28: A three-day conference of assembly speakers will start here on Saturday. The conference will be inaugurated by Speaker National Assembly Chaudhary Amir Hussain.

Besides Mr Hussain, the participants of the conference include Deputy Chairman Senate Mir Jan Mohammad Khan Jamali, Speaker Sindh Assembly Muzaffar Hussain Shah, Deputy Speaker Rahila Twana, Speaker NWFP Assembly Bakhat Jahan Khan, Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhary Mohammad Afzal Sahi, Deputy Speaker Sardar Shaukat Hussain Mazari, Speaker Azad Kashmir Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir and Deputy Speaker Farooq Ahmed Tahir. On their arrival in Quetta on Friday, the honourable guests were received by Speaker Balochistan Assembly Jamal Shah Kakar and his deputy Mohammad Aslam Bhootani.

The second and third days’ sessions of the conference would be held in Ziarat on July 29 while the decisions and recommendations of the conference would be announced at a press conference on Monday.

Mr Bhootani said that all arrangements for holding the conference in Quetta and Ziarat had been completed.

Senior Balochistan Minister Maulana Abdul Wasay and Speaker Jamal Shah hosted a luncheon and a dinner respectively, in the honour of the participants.
