Published July 29, 2006

KARACHI, July 28: A weather system is developing over North Rajesthan whose influence is likely to cause widespread rains in lower Sindh and scattered rains/ thundershowers in the rest of the province during the next three days, according to Met office.

The intensity of rain may be high at times in lower Sindh, including Badin, Thatta and Tharparkar districts, during the period. Thundershowers are also expected in Karachi on Sunday and Monday, it added.

The eastern and southern parts of Balochistan are likely to receive scattered thundershowers during next three days.

During heavy downpours, chances of flash floods in local nullahs of the province cannot be ruled out, according to the forecast.—APP/PPI
