DADU, July 28: Six alleged bandits were arrested after an ‘encounter’ near Jamshoro on Thursday. Briefing newsmen DPO Jamshoro Pir Farid Jan Sarhandi said that SHO Kotri police station, Zulfiqar Arain received information that a group of bandits was coming to Kotri from Thatta in a white jeep.

He said that the SHO Kotri tried to stop the vehicle at Nai Baran but the bandits escaped towards the banana orchard near Shaikh farm in Jamshoro district by restoring to aerial firing.

He said that when he received information, he dashed to the spot, cordoned off the area and arrested six of them after an encounter which lasted for three hours.

The arrested accused were identified as Amir Bux alias Gosoo Brohi, Pir Bux Brohi alias Peeru, Abdul Qadir alias Majeed Brohi, Moula Bux Khaskheli alias Mir Khaskheli and Murtaza Pathan.
