ISLAMABAD, July 27: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Thursday announced the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-II results, showing a pass percentage of 77.19.
In total, 37,739 candidates took the examination held in May, out of whom 29,089 students were declared pass.
Once again, girls have outshone boys and secured three top positions.
Rabia Shamim of F. G. College for Women, F-7/2, clinched the first position by securing 996 marks followed by Arooj Shahid of Army Public School and College, Jhelum Cantt, and Madiha Maryam Azam of Fauji Foundation College for Girls, Rawalpindi Cantt, who shared the second position with 994 marks.
The third position went to Hina Akbar of the Army Public School and College, Bahawalpur Cantt, who obtained 990 marks.
Among boys, the first position went to Mohammad Maaz Zafar of Fazaia Inter College, Sargodha, with 989 marks followed by Ali Safdar of Army Public School and College, Gujranwala Cantt, and Mohammad Abairul Haq of F. G. College, Rawalpindi Cantt, who got 980 and 978 marks, respectively.
The result cards of the regular candidates are being dispatched to them through their respective institutions, while those of private candidates at their given addresses.
Applications for re-checking of papers will be received within 30 days of declaration of the results.
This year, 30 cases of unfair means were reported. So far, 27 cases have been decided while three were under process.
The HSSC supplementary examination will commence on September 26.
