KARACHI, July 27: A couple was shot dead by their neighbour over a petty issue here on Thursday in Baldia Town. Saima, 30, had a quarrel with her neighbour Baz Mohammad, when Saima’s two daughters between the ages of 4 and 5, had a fight with the children of Baz. Saima took her children back home and waited for her husband. As her husband Bakh Sardar returned from work, she narrated the entire ordeal and urged him to go to the house of their neighbour to settle the score.
The couple knocked at the door of Baz Mohammad, who was already expecting them with a gun in his hand. But Baz Mohammad did not even bother to listen to his neighbours and shot them dead on the spot and fled the scene.
Police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to a hospital for autopsy. A case was registered and the search for the alleged killer was being carried out.
KILLED: An alleged associate of Arshad Pappu was shot dead by his friend in Pak Colony police limits. Police said that Ghulam Yaseen, 27, had a dispute with his friend Ibrahim, who shot him and fled leaving him in a pool of blood in Jahanabad locality.
The injured was shifted to a hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police said that the victim was a wanted criminal involved in various cases.
In another incident, Amjad Khan, 30, a resident of Islam Nagar, Orangi Town, was shot at and injured critically when Akbar Khan, opened fire at him in Mominabad police limits for marrying his divorced wife.
Police said that Akbar Khan divorced his wife and Amjad married the woman. This became the cause of dispute between the two which resulted in the death of Amjad. Police are looking for the alleged killer.
ACCIDENT: Three-year-old Aqsa, a resident of Sector 36-H Taisar Town, was knocked down to death by a water tanker near her house, where she was playing in Surjani Town police limits. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and then handed over to the victim’s relatives. The errant driver managed to escape leaving the vehicle behind, which the police impounded.
Zubair, 10, a resident of “T” Area Korangi lost his life and his father received injuries, when a recklessly-driven water-tanker rammed into a parked motorcycle in 48-A Area of Korangi in Zaman Town Police limits. The body was handed over to victim’s relatives. The errant driver managed to escape but police impounded the vehicle.
Sultan Salahuddin, 55, a resident of Chapel Society Malir, was hit by a locomotive while trying to get down the moving train.
