KARACHI, July 27: Nine ships carrying containers, palm oil and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where nine ships to unload crude oil and containers and to load cement were berthed. They are: Diamond Progress, to load cement, Al-Marwah and Stolt Protector, to unload chemical and crude oil, Satha Bhum, Corin Thaikos, Hyundai Sprinter, and Y.M. Mondego, to unload and load containers.
Sailing was also active as seven ships, APL Dalian, Ever Guide, Kota Jasa, Serife, Free Star, Stolt Protector and Shalamar departed, while Satha Bhum, Infinity, Hyundai Sprinter, Al-Marwah, Orionis and Y.M. Mondego are due to sail out on Friday.
A total tonnage of 0.120m tons comprising 15,958 tons of export cargo, including 1,840 tons of cement and 0.104 tons of import tonnage, which also included 4,672 tons of sugar, was handled.
The following ships are due on Friday: Team Leopard and Jo Sycamopre, to load ethanol, Lalazar, to offload crude oil, Holly Galaxy, to unload palm oil, Keefan, to unload high-speed diesel, Kota Tabah, Eric G. Gibson and Mac Aandresew Swala, with containers and Yasmina, with machinery and logs.
