KARACHI, July 26: As many as 86 people were deprived of their cars, motorbikes and cellphones in the city on Wednesday.

Police said that 25 vehicles -- 12 cars and 13 motorbikes – had either been hijacked or stolen. Two cars were snatched at gunpoint while 10 others were stolen.

They said that eight of the motorbikes were snatched at gunpoint and five others were reported to have been stolen.

They said that 31 people had reported that they had been deprived of their cellphones, cash and other belongings by bandits at gunpoint.

Thirty other people had reported that their cellphones had been stolen.—Staff Reporter
