SUKKUR, July 25: The Sukkur circuit bench of the Sindh High Court on Tuesday sent a newly-wed woman, Marvi Phariro, to Darul Aman till the next date of hearing of her case on August 1.

Justice Faisal Arab issued the orders on a petition filed by Dhani Bux Gondal.

Mr Gondal had stated that Marvi had married him of her own free will but her parents were not happy and they wanted to marry her to another man.

The court had appointed a raid commissioner to recover the girl and produce in the court on Tuesday.

Marvi was produced in the court where she requested the court that she wanted to live with her husband Dhani Bux.

As her husband was not present, the court sent Marvi to Darul Aman till the next date of hearing.

Our Naushahro Feroze correspondent adds: Police on Tuesday booked relatives of Ms Marvi on complaint of the reader of the Sindh High Court, Sukkur bench, who raided Ali Mohammad Phariro village in the Kandiaro taluka to recover the woman.

SHC official Abdul Rasheed Domki lodged an FIR under section 17(3) EHO, 353, 342, 427 PPC at the Mohbat Dero police against Panah Phariro, Abdul Ghani Aftab, Tufail, Ghulam Mohammad, Abdul Qadeer, Munir Ahmed, Asad and Abdul Karim.

The reader said that when they raided the village and were taking Marvi, the accused damaged their vehicle, offered resistance and snatched cash and other items from them and disturbed and detained them for one and half hour.
